When: Saturday, January 28th, 2012.

 

Where: St. Joseph Christian School, 5401 Gene Field Rd, St. Joseph, MO. Please enter the school thru door #9.

 

Cost: Entries/phone entries received before Thursday, January 26^th. $7 per player. Late entries/On-site entries are $15 per player. USCF membership not required.

 

Check-In: Participants and late/onsite registration will be between 8:00-8:45am on March 6th^th at the school. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 8:45AM!

 

Sections: K-6 & K-12. Tournament director reserves the right to modify depending on entries.

 

Awards: Individual medals will be awarded to the top 10 individuals in the following grade divisions: K-3, 4-6, 7-8, & 9-12. Team medals will be based on the top four scorers per school in the following grade divisions: K-6, 7-8 & 9-12.

 

Concessions: Available on site (there will be no lunch break).

 

Time Control and Format: Game/30, Six round Swiss. Rounds are scheduled for 9:30, 10:40, 11:50, 1:00, 2:10 and 3:20. Awards will be presented 15 minutes after the conclusion of the last game. If a round concludes ahead of schedule we will begin the following rounds sooner. We will reduce the number of rounds if possible.

 

Chess boards, pieces, clocks and scoresheets/pencils will be provided. Notation is strongly encouraged but not required. Chess items will be available for puchase.
